By Road Delhi to Tirthan Valley

If you drive your own car, you'll take the following route from Delhi to Tirthan Valley:

Delhi –> Panipat –> Ambala –> Chandigarh –> Swarghat –> Mandi –> Pandoh –> Aut –> Larji –> tirthan

One of the easiest and time saving ways to reach Tirthan Valley from Delhi is to take your own car. It will take around 12 hours.

Your first stop on the journey will be Chandigarh because we are using Delhi as the starting place for Riverside Resort & Adventures in Tirthan Valley. Take the NH1, which will take you through Karnal and Ambala. Now, just before you reach Chandigarh, take the bypass to exit on the Chandigarh Manali motorway. You will eventually begin climbing the hills, passing through Bilaspur and Sundernagar before reaching Mandi.

After arriving in Mandi, proceed 38 kilometres to the Manali side and turn right at the Aut tunnel. Avoid going through the tunnel because it will lead you to Manali. Tirthan Valley is 25 km away and a great ride from the Aut tunnel entrance via Larji.

Larji is just 2 km from the tunnel entrance from where you need to take a left for Banjar. The right side road will take you to Sainj valley so avoid that. From Larji, you need to go 20 km straight where you will find two road options. Take a U-turn and go on the left road as that leads to Tirthan Valley.

By Bus

The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) runs regular bus connections from major North Indian states/union territories like Haryana, Punjab and Delhi. One needs to take a bus to Aut, which is around 26 kilometres distant, in order to get to Tirthan Valley. Private cabs or buses can help you get here from there. The settlement of Shoja (located around 27 miles from Aut) and Jalori Pass are further desirable possibilities.

Any bus heading to Manali or Kullu can be taken by travellers from Delhi, who should get off at Aut. From Delhi to Aut, the overnight trip lasts roughly 12 hours.

By Rail

The closest train stations to Tirthan Valley are at Chandigarh, about 275 kilometres distant, Jalandhar, about 240 kilometres away, and Kalka (about 246 km away).
